once upon a midnight blue
the stars came out to dance
a brilliant play of God's night light
a twinkling sort of trance
and as I gazed upon that sky
so vast and full of Him
I felt so small, I felt so loved
joy filled me to the brim
when I consider your heavens, Lord
just as the psalmist writes
what is man that you are mindful of him
